Back to the Hideout, our 1980s-themed fund-raiser, took place in Maxwell’s on Saturday night and was, after admittedly a slow start, a genuinely great success!
I did my best to try and capture the fun that we all had, dancing to the excellent music selections of CCR’s own Eamonn ‘once vinyl but now MP3’ Kelly.
Well done to all the radio station’s staff and volunteers for making the night such a memorable one.

On Saturday, November 30th, Claremorris will be going back to the 1980s. Our very own DJ Eamonn Kelly will host a night of nostalgia as we remember the legend that was The Hideout nightclub.
Alas, The Hideout has not been in business for several decades so this fun night will take place upstairs in the excellent Maxwell’s Bar.
The night itself will kick off at 10pm and will feature DJ Eamonn and his collection of actual vinyl records keeping the dancers dancing right through until 2.30 in the morning!
Proceeds from the night will go to both Claremorris Community Radio and Protect, an organisation established by Claremorris native Janet Corbin-Hinchion which rescues children in Kenya from child labour. Tickets cost just €10 and are available right now from the radio station, Maxwell’s, The Food Store, Shine, the Hospice Shop, Flynn’s Pharmacy and the Family Resource Centre.
For more info, please contact the radio station on 094 9373737.
