Best of luck to St. Colman’s in their All-Ireland semi-final against St. Michael’s of Enniskillen on Saturday. The game will take place in Pearse Park, Longford, and throw-in is at 1.30pm.
Claremorris Community Radio will broadcast a special programme to cover the game, starting at 1pm. Micheál McLoughlin and Peter McCallig will be on air for two hours, until 3pm, with Billy Fitzpatrick providing regular updates on the game, live from Longford.
Hollymount/Carramore will host the O’Mara Cup Final on Saturday evening when they will face local rivals Claremorris at 5pm. Claremorris Community Radio will provide live coverage of the final, including commentary by Austin Garvin and Billy Fitzpatrick.
It promises to be an entertaining final. Claremorris qualified from Group 2 with three wins out of three whilst Hollymount/Carramore emerged from a tight group 1, with three wins from four games.
Our live coverage of the game will begin at 4.45pm with John Whittle hosting the build-up to the match. Throw in will take place at 5pm and, should the game go to extra-time, coverage will continue until we have a result.
Claremorris Community Radio will be doing our annual outside broadcast on St. Patrick’s Day. We will be broadcasting live throughout the afternoon, taking in the town’s parade.
Symmetrix Hail Salon will once again be our base for this outside broadcast, which will be on air from 1-5pm. The parade itself will begin at 3pm and we will be carrying the commentary from the stage in The Square. At the same time, we will also be broadcasting the parade on Facebook Live.
Bridie Sheeran will be broadcasting live from the salon from 1pm until the start of the parade. Once the parade is over, Bridie will carry out interviews with those involved in its organisation and also some of the people who took part.
