This Friday is Community Radio Day and, to mark this event, you are invited to our tea/coffee morning at our Studios from 10 am to 12 noon. Join us for a chat and meet the volunteers and faces behind the voices on Claremorris Community Radio.
Also on Friday morning, we will link up with Athlone Community Radio to broadcast a special two hour show to mark Community Radio Day. This show will be aired from 11am to 1pm, straight after the Good Morning Show.
So come on in! We are looking forward to welcoming you to our (and your) community radio station.
It’ll be a busy day at Claremorris Community Radio.
Minister Michael Ring will be in town this morning to open the new MUGA (multi-use gaming area) at Clare Lake. He will also visit the recently-completed plaza at back of the town square.
Catherine Lavery will be reporting live from the opening, live on our Facebook page. You can tune in from 11am.
A recording of Catherine’s interview with Minister Ring will then be broadcast as part of today’s Live at 2 show.
At 12 noon today, we will broadcast the first documentary created by our member Ed Coulson. To mark Go Wild in Galway 2018, (part of National Biodiversity Week), Ed visited Moore Hall recently and spoke with Ruth Hanniffy of the Vincent Wildlife Trust. Ruth told him all about the colony of Lesser Horseshoe Bats at Moore Hall.
The one hour long programme will be aired today at 12 noon and repeated tomorrow (Saturday 26th), again at 12 noon.
