Claremorris Golf Club is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. To help mark this significant milestone we at Claremorris Community Radio will hold the next of our famous Sports Roadshows from the clubhouse at the golf club on Friday, October 19th.
The show will be hosted by Austin Garvin and will be live on Facebook from 9pm. The show will also be recorded for broadcasting here on the station the following day.
Update: We can now reveal the guest list for Friday night’s Sports Roadshow. The panel on the night will feature: Mary Gallagher (President), Eamonn Blake, John Grant, Norah Maloney and Declan Lambe (club historian). The evening’s music will be provided by some members of Claremorris CCE.
Claremorris Community Radio will be in Bekan tonight to record the latest episode of our Sports Roadshows. We will be in Ronan’s Bar, Bekan, tonight (Friday 8th June), with the broadcast being live on our Facebook page, from 9.45pm.
Come along for a great evening of GAA discussion, music and craic! Entertainment on the night will be provided by the All-Ireland winning Aghamore traditional music group.
The Sports Roadshow will be hosted by Austin Garvin and Billy Fitzpatrick and they will be joined by former Mayo star Alan Dillon, Willie McHugh (Mayo News) and Danny McHugh. The audio recording of the show will be broadcast on Saturday morning at 11am.
The Sports Roadshow is sponsored by Supermacs, Ballindine, Claremorris and Ballinrobe.
As part of the build up to the big Mayo v Galway championship match on Sunday, the second Sports Roadshow of 2018 will take place on Friday evening (May 11th).
The event will take place in Ryans’ Bar, Kiltimagh, with 9.30pm set as the start time. The panel on the night will feature our usual hosts Austin Garvin and Billy Fitzpatrick, alongside journalist Willie McHugh, former Mayo senior footballers Eugene Lavin and John Finn, and more.
Music on the night will be performed by Ollie Burke and friends.
As always, the roadshow will be shown live on Facebook and recorded for broadcasting on the radio. The show will then be broadcast at 8pm on Saturday evening and repeated at 11am on Sunday morning.
