Donation to Pieta House

The presentation of a cheque for €1,500 to Pieta House in Tuam (l-r): Pat Keane, CCR Chair, Austin Garvin, Donna Burke, Pieta House, Billy Fitzpatrick, Micheál McLoughlin, Catherine Lavery and Allan Tiernan, CCR manager.

Thank you to everyone who supported our ‘Will Galway bate Mayo?‘ score prediction competition back in June. Overall, the terrific sum of €3,000 was raised for the radio station and our partner Pieta House.

This morning, several members of Claremorris Community Radio travelled to Tuam to present Pieta House with a cheque for €1,500.

Congratulations to all involved in the running of this very successful event.

Galway – Mayo prediction roadshow

Our Galway v Mayo ‘predict the score’ competition is up-and-running.  You can enter right up until the morning of the match via the submission sheets which have been distributed to every town and village in East Mayo and North Galway.

To help promote the event, and to allow people the opportunity to hear the sage advice of CCR’s Sports Talk team, we are holding events throughout the area over the next week.

The roadshow events kick off tonight in Lyons’ Pub, Roundfort, at 9pm.  Here is the full list of upcoming venues:

  • Wednesday, Lyons of Roundfort
  • Thursday, Clarkes’, Ballindine
  • Friday, Tierneys’ of Foxhall
  • Saturday, Lallys’ Pub, Garrafrauns

All events are scheduled for 9pm.
