Last Orders, starting Saturday

Last Orders is a show of mostly folk songs with the occasional surprise thrown in.

Each week, presenter Dave Kitching takes a different theme often found in the folk genre, drawing on examples from Ireland and around the world.

If you would like to request any songs for later episodes or ask for further information, please tweet at @davekitching or @claremorris946 or text the station at 087 326 2007.

Last Orders will be on Saturday afternoons at 3pm, as a replacement show for Afternoon Delight, as Dermot is taking a few weeks off during the month of May. Last Orders will also be repeated on Tuesdays at 12 noon.

Tubelord Tunes

Do you like tunes? Do you like flutes prattering about said tunes? Then you’ll love Tubelord tunes! With Tubelord tunes, you’re guaranteed new, exciting tunes with each and every show.

Each week, DJ Beefnuts will search the tube tirelessly for new music for every show. Tubelord tunes will be aired on Fridays at 7pm, and repeated on Wednesdays at 8pm. That means the first episode is on air tonight (May 4th)!

DJ Beefnuts?

One day, while trying to think of a DJ handle, Neil Murphy, a young man from the middle of nowhere, picked up a bag of beefnuts, and the world has never been the same since. Money, babes, critical acclaim – these are just some of the things Beefnuts would like to have, but for now he’ll settle for finding good tunes and sharing them with others.
