Information Matters

Experienced radio presenter Mary Costello returns to our airwaves this weekend with her new show, Information Matters.

Each week Mary will discuss subjects relating to our community and matter that effect it.  This week’s show will include info on funding, grants, support groups and items of interest to enhance your life in our community.

The first show of Information Matters will be broadcast tomorrow, Saturday 14th April, at 11am and repeated on Monday 16th April at 1pm.

Equality Matters

CCR will shortly begin broadcasting a significant new series.  Equality Matters will focus on different sections of society, with each episode aiming to promote equality in our community.

Hosted by Catherine Lavery, this series will feature individuals with disabilities, members of the travelling community, immigrants and relevant spokespeople from community support groups in the West of Ireland.

Equality Matters will begin on Sunday, 16 April, at 2 pm, and will then be broadcast at that time for the four subsequent Sundays.  Each show will be repeated on Thursdays at 11 am.

This programme is supported by the BAI through its Sound and Vision programme.

Money Matters 250th episode

250-moneyCongratulations to Eddie Sweeney, who this week hosts his 250th episode of Money Matters, his excellent weekly show which combines financial information, advice and some excellent music.

Eddie was one of the station’s first broadcasters, being part of the original line-up who hosted Saturday’s flagship discussion show Let’s Talk About It after the CCR gained its full license.

In September 2008, Eddie launched Money Matters.  Originally a half-hour show, it has since expanded to fill 60 minutes of informative and entertaining radio each week.

You can listen to this excellent show on Sunday, from 11am to 12 noon, and on Wednesday from 12 noon to 1 pm.  It is also podcasted on mixcloud.com each week.  Click here to see the full archive of Money Matters (scroll down to the bottom to find the most recent episode).

Well done Eddie!
