The Eight Wheel Movers

Recently, eight service users of the Tuam branch of the Irish Wheelchair Association completed our Level 3 QQI course in Media Expression.

As part of their course work the students had to complete an hour of radio.  They chose to do this programme on the issue of access, specifically the issues some of them face in the area of Tuam and Galway city.

The students who took part in the creation of the programme are: Peter McGarry, Ciara D’Eath, Kevin Clinton, Anne Mahon, Deirdre Grace, Samuel Fleming, Aisling Davis and Josephine Regan.

The Eight Wheel Movers will be broadcast on Claremorris Community Radio on Saturday, September 1st, at 1pm.

Tá clár nua seachtainiúil ag tonnú ar Radio Pobal Chlár Chlainne Mhuiris ag tosnú Déardaoin 22ú Feabhra ag 1.00pm agus athchraolaithe Dé Sathairn 7.00pm.

Clár irise is ea Beannachtaí an Lae. Gheobhaidh sibh blas de ghach short ann. Beidh togha an cheoil ann le béim ar leith ar cheol áitiúil. Cloisfear blúiríní eolais, altanna nuachta, cúrsaí reatha, piseogacht, stair, filíocht, cúinne don fhoghlaimeoir, cómhráití, logainmneacha, seanchas agus cuideachta.

Beannachtaí an Lae is a new magazine show on Claremorris Community Radio, featuring something for everyone, whatever your level of Irish. It will be presented by Pádraig Ó Catháin aka Pat Keane.

Beannachtaí an Lae will be broadcast on Thursdays at 1pm and repeated on Saturdays at 7pm.  The first show in the series will be broadcast tomorrow, Thursday 22nd.

Happy new year everyone!  Wishing you and yours the best for 2017.

CCR’s new year starts with a new show for our schedule.  Bridie’s Irish Country will see the return to our airwaves of Bridie Sheeran.

The show will feature a selection of Bridie’s favourite Irish Country tunes and will be broadcast on Sundays at 1pm.  It will then be repeated on Tuesdays at 7pm.
