2018 AGM

The AGM of Claremorris Community Radio will take place on Monday next, November 12th, in The Dalton Inn Hotel, at 8pm.  Everyone is welcome, and all members are encouraged to attend.

Claremorris Community Radio is owned by the community and the board is answerable to that community. So, whether member or not please come along and hear our plans, our achievements and our every detail.

CCR 2017 AGM

The AGM of Claremorris Community Radio will be held in The D’Alton Inn, Claremorris, on Thursday 9th November 2017 at 8pm and you are invited to attend.

Any current member (of more than six months), is eligible to nominate themself or a fellow member for election to Claremorris Community Radio’s Board of Directors.  The Board of Claremorris Community Radio consists of seven members and the elections to the board will take place at the AGM.

Board members should have an interest in the radio and the furtherance of our community-driven agenda. It is also desirable that they have skills which would benefit the board. The role of the board is to ensure that the station is meeting the needs of the community it serves and that it is an open and inclusive organisation.

Nomination forms are available from the station. Should you wish to nominate yourself or a fellow volunteer to sit on the Board of Directors of Claremorris Community Radio, please submit a completed form to the manager at the station not later than 5pm on Tuesday 7th November 2017.

That’s also the deadline for the submission of motions for the AGM.

2014 AGM on November 26th

The Claremorris Community Radio AGM will be held at the radio station in the Town Hall, Claremorris on Wednesday 26th November 2014, starting at 8.00pm. Elections to the board will take place at the AGM.

To ensure that the station truly reflects the community, half of the station’s Board of Directors (which is made up of up to 14 people) must represent clubs and organizations in our area and half must represent volunteers. There are approximately five board meetings throughout the year, lasting about an hour-and-a-half each and the demands are not great. The role of the board is to ensure that the station is meeting the needs of the community it serves.

In participating in the governance of the station, you can have a real input into the future direction of the organisation and, as a community-run not-for-profit group, we strongly feel that volunteer participation in the governance of the station is hugely important.

In order to be considered for a position on the Claremorris Community Radio board of Directors, or to be able to vote for volunteer representatives to be co-opted onto the Board, volunteers must be full members of Claremorris Community Radio. Being a full member means that you have regularly contributed to station activities over the past year and that you have paid your membership fee for 2013 or are exempt.

Nomination forms are available from the station, can be emailed to you on request or downloaded by clicking on this link. If you would like to nominate yourself or a fellow volunteer to sit on Claremorris Community Radio’s Board of Directors, the form must be returned to the station no later that 4pm on Monday 24th of November.
