Asylum seekers produce show

Claremorris Community Radio, in association with Mayo Intercultural Action, recently completed a project with four asylum seekers attached to the Ballyhaunis Refugee Centre.

The four students worked with Gordon Campbell for six weeks, learning about media types and radio production. They also learned about the steps in compiling a programme and researched the programme themselves. The programme, which deals with the problem of integration will be broadcast on Claremorris Community Radio on Saturday 4th May at 2pm.

The students, Salvador Francisco, Hassan Alam, Kofi Kyeremateng Kankam and Nomandia Ncube were presented with certificates of appreciation and CDs of the programme’s final edit by Gordon Campbell this morning.
