Something Fishy Going on, on the Saturday Sit-Down

**Live at 12 noon here on Claremorris Community Radio**

This week’s Saturday Sit-down with John Fallon and Christina Jordan features special guest James of Rushe’s aquatica. He’ll be dropping to talk all things aquatic and reptilian, live between 12 noon and 1 pm.

James opened his shop selling tropical and predatory fish, as well as lizards, earlier this summer on Mount Street. Claremorris Community Radio was proud to be there at the official launch, with a live outside broadcast.

James has an incredible knowledge of fish care – but also has a great interest in corals and lizards. And he is also passing that knowledge and passion on to his kids.

If you have a question for James, you can text the show on 087 326 2007.

Listen the Saturday Sit-down every Saturday from 12 noon on 94.6 FM near Claremorris, online at or via the TuneIn radio app.

School Strike for Climate, 20th Sep 2019: Voices from the Galway Protests

Friday 20th September saw the latest in a series of global strikes aimed at bringing about international political change to combat the climate crisis.

They are led by school students in thousands of cities, following the school strike started by Greta Thunberg in Sweden in August 2018, and students are asking adults to join them.

Ed Coulson went to Eyre Square, the focus for the strikes in Galway, and returned with powerful statements from pupils, teachers, parents and grandparents, including from Claddagh National School and Educate Together National School.

Fellow CCR members Cleo de Vito and Cy O’Hara attended the planned strike in Castlebar, but were shocked to find themselves the only ones present. They came into the Good Morning Show studio on Monday 30th September to talk about that, and listen to the voices of the young and less young who had taken to the streets in Galway.
