O’Mara Cup final this Saturday

Hollymount/Carramore will host the O’Mara Cup Final on Saturday evening when they will face local rivals Claremorris at 5pm. Claremorris Community Radio will provide live coverage of the final, including commentary by Austin Garvin and Billy Fitzpatrick.

It promises to be an entertaining final. Claremorris qualified from Group 2 with three wins out of three whilst Hollymount/Carramore emerged from a tight group 1, with three wins from four games.

Our live coverage of the game will begin at 4.45pm with John Whittle hosting the build-up to the match. Throw in will take place at 5pm and, should the game go to extra-time, coverage will continue until we have a result.

AFter the Fact returns on Thursday

After the Fact, Claremorris Community Radio’s award-winning quiz show is returning for its fifth series on Thursday evening.

Host John Nolan will once again curate the battle between the members of the red and blue teams, lead again this year by Linda Conway and Ger Slattery.

The theme for the questions in this year’s series will be ‘Where in the World?’, with each week’s episode featuring questions on a specific country.

After the Fact is broadcast on Thursday evenings at 8pm and repeated on Sundays at 2pm.

St. Patrick’s Day 2019

Claremorris Community Radio will be doing our annual outside broadcast on St. Patrick’s Day. We will be broadcasting live throughout the afternoon, taking in the town’s parade.

Symmetrix Hail Salon will once again be our base for this outside broadcast, which will be on air from 1-5pm.  The parade itself will begin at 3pm and we will be carrying the commentary from the stage in The Square.  At the same time, we will also be broadcasting the parade on Facebook Live.

Bridie Sheeran will be broadcasting live from the salon from 1pm until the start of the parade.  Once the parade is over, Bridie will carry out interviews with those involved in its organisation and also some of the people who took part.
