On Wednesday’s Good Morning Show, presenter John Fallon was delighted to be joined in the Claremorris Community Radio studios by Moira McCallig and Josie Corr, who were in to promote Fostering Awareness Fortnight.
Moira and Josie have been fostering for a combined 71 years, while Moira has finished fostering as she served six years on the board of the Irish Foster Care Association, Josie continues to foster.
As they chatted to John they discussed various topics including; the different types of fostering care needed, what it entails in terms of meeting certain criteria and potential difficulties that may arise.
They also discussed the changes that have taken place in fostering in the last thirty years.
