A number of Local Link services are offering to deliver critical medical supplies, grocery and meals to the elderly, the vulnerable and sick who live alone within rural areas during the coming weeks. All drivers are Garda vetted and have undertaken relevant training in particular regarding supporting vulnerable adults.
Through social media we are trying to get the message out that if any individuals need such support they should contact Local Link Mayo on 094 900 5150 or email firstname.lastname@example.org between 9:00am and 5:00pm.
Many services run on a weekly basis only, however the staff and operators will make every effort to respond to requests that arise. They work with 20 operators and over 100 drivers throughout the county.
