Award-winning Claremorris Author E. M. Reapy Talks to Sandra Donnellan Ahead of Smyths Book-Signing

Author Elizabeth Reapy now lives in Galway, but she grew up on the Ballindine Rd in Claremorris.

Her debut novel ‘Red Dirt’ was published in 2016 and went on to win Newcomer of the Year at the Irish Book Awards, as well as the 2017 Rooney Prize for Literature.

Her second book ‘Skin’ has just been published, and she dropped in to the station to talk to host Sandra Donnellan ahead of a book-signing event at Smyths Bookstore on 30th August.

She discusses the issues of body image and health that she explores in her fiction, and also talks about her interest in hynotherapy – something that helped he overcome fears of public speaking when she had to promote her first book.
