Rushes Aquatica Gala Opening: Highlights of Live Outside Broadcast

The drama of feeding predatory fish

On Saturday, 10th August, Rushes Aquatica on Mount St finally opened its doors to the public, and Claremorris Community Radio was there to help celebrate, with a two-hour live outside broadcast. Here are some highlights from the afternoon.

Thanks to everyone who made it down on the day, and to our hosts who put on such a great party. Special thanks to Chloe Donnellan, who sang three beautiful songs.

Balloons, facepainting and a packed shop!

Congratulations to the Rushes team on a successful opening and we wish them the best of luck for the future.

If you haven’t already, it’s well worth popping in to the shop at the top of Mount Street to take a look at the incredible range of fish and other beautiful creatures.

A great place to take kids – and of course every Saturday they can feed the predators!

Happy competition winner Maci-lee Crisham, who chose the name ‘Light Fury’ for the Red-tailed Catfish
