Noel Gavigan, Irish BioEnergy Association, Talks to Mark Godfrey

As the Irish government starts to take action to limit climate change there are some new state policies to encourage alternatives to fossil fuels, like biogas production on farms.

Noel Gavigan is technical head at the Irish Bioenergy Association, which represents producers of energy from sources like woodchip and biogas.

He told Mark Godfrey how managed forests as well as gases from agricultural slurry are all cleaner alternatives to coal and oil.
